Hosted by Bill Donohue. A special MLB opening day weekend show, Bill welcomed the first DH in history, former Yankee Ron Blomberg to the program. Bill also discussed the Disney film “The Rookie” with Rays pitcher Jim Morris.
Hosted by Bill Donohue. Bill spoke about the NCAA Championship game, and welcomed Syracuse basketball legend Roosevelt Bouie to the program. Bill also chatted with former Mets 3B Lennie Randal.
In a special “Baseball at the Movies” segment, host Bill Donohue spoke about the greatest documentaries, best musicals and top films of all-time which use baseball as their setting or central theme. Discussed were Ken Burns’ “Baseball,” HBO’s “When It Was A Game,” as well as such great baseball movies as “Pride of the Yankees,” “Bang the Drum Slowly,” “The Natural” and “Field of Dreams.” The 2nd half of the show dealt with discussions on the latest problems to befall the Knicks as well as early spring looks at the Mets and Yankees in the Grapefruit League thus far, with call-ins from the audience.
Host Bill Donohue kicked off the program talking some Rangers and Islanders hockey, speaking with former Islanders captain Ed Westfall, followed by longtime Rangers netminder John Vanbiesbrouck. Bill later discussed his thoughts on the greatest baseball movie of all-time, as well as the best ever baseball documentary.
Hosted by Bill Donohue. Guests included former pro basketball players Jack Marin and Rick Barry. Hall of Famer Rick Barry proved to be an outspoken and insightful guest, speaking of the era of the NBA-ABA battle for superstars and his days with the New York Nets, who were just burgeoning as an ABA power. Rick, himself a TOP 50 OF ALL-TIME player, discussed his all-time starting 5 as well as his unorthodox but highly-accurate underhanded free-throw shooting. Former Baltimore Bullet Jack Marin spoke of the prolific battles with his team had with the Knicks of Reed, DeBusschere and Bradley as well as playing High School ball against Joe Namath. Bill closed the show with with a recap of the 2012 Hall-of-Fame vote.
Christmas Day Special part 2, hosted by Bill Donohue. Topics discussed included the Baseball Hall of Fame BBWAA 2012 Ballot and the upcoming elections in January. Bill closed out the show talking with former Royals and Red Sox right-hander, Dick Drago.

In the second half of the program Bill spoke about the Hall-of-Fame election process and the new “Golden Era Committee” election of Chicago Cubs third baseman Ron Santo, as well as the non-election of Gil Hodges.
